Trainee, Avionics Engineering

Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of the Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations, and cost-efficient maintenance processes. In this role you will be supporting our avionics engineering team to achieve these targets through aircraft and engine condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. 

Your responsibilities will include, for example:

  • Aircraft generated operational data and its routing to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Defining and improving the actual data frames exported from aircraft based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Mapping out the whole process between different aircraft types and defining real-time monitoring to verify such data is available and usable.
  • Avionics Engineering duties to support the team. 

We are seeking an innovative engineer enthusiastic about aviation with a focus on aircraft and information systems. We appreciate that you can manage complex technical processes and build a bigger picture based on those. You should be able to demonstrate the capability to learn and understand technical systems. 

Relevant study background: Aircraft and/or Information and communications Engineering. 

Please note that the hiring process includes security clearance and a drug test. 

The preferred starting date for the trainee will be April 2026; the length of the trainee program will be 6 months.
