Are you passionate about data and curious about the world of finance? Finnair’s Financial Reporting and Analysis team is looking for a Finance Data & Analytics Development Trainee to join us in enhancing our revenue forecasting capabilities. 

Your responsibilities will include, for example:

• Work with Anaplan and its PlanIQ/Forecaster solution, leveraging built-in machine learning algorithms to support forecasting.
• Identify and incorporate relevant internal and external data series, including market data, to improve forecast accuracy and responsiveness.
• Help develop models that react earlier to changes in market sentiment than current approaches.
• Collaborate with finance professionals to translate business needs into data-driven insights.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in finance and prior knowledge of the field is seen as an advantage. The ideal candidate is familiar with data science tools and concepts such as Python, time series analysis, and feature engineering. A solid business acumen paired with an analytical mindset is essential, as is a natural curiosity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

The preferred starting date for the trainee will be April 2026; the length of the trainee program will be 6 months.
